Job Seekers: Social Media is Even More Important Than You Thought
Your social media presence might be even more important to your job hunt than you even realized.

You knew social media was important for the job search, but just how important is it? Turns out, very. In fact, 92% of companies are using social media for hiring—and we're not only talking about LinkedIn.

In fact, I can personally attest to it! After I started my job at The Muse, I found out that our CEO had discovered my Instagram account during the interview process. She liked my creativity—and it helped me land the job.

So, take it from me, and this infographic: You don't want to underestimate the power of your social media profiles to show off your skills, give employers a peek into your personality, and land you a job.

As Social Media and Community Manager, Brooke is intrigued by (okay, obsessed with) all things social. She has been Musing since right after she graduated from Smith College, beginning first as an intern. When Brooke isn’t conjuring up new Tweets, she can be found trying out new foods, wishing she had a Boston Terrier, and Instagramming. Say hi on Twitter @beetorr.
